Our flexibility and experience working with a diverse customer base positioned us well for this contract, which over time involves access to every dwelling.

The backbone of our contract is delivery of a “Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Report” as defined by British Standard 7671. Reporting includes areas such as corridors, plant rooms and any kind of communal room.

C1 and C2 repairs and remedial works are completed as we assess properties, with a maximum expenditure threshold of £500 per dwelling or communal area. Any works above £500 are referred to Southern Housing Group’s contract administrator.

We cost in accordance with an agreed schedule of rates and following completion of any remedial or repair works, certification verifies the installation was safe.

Electronic reports identify progress and batch invoicing reduces the administrative costs for both RGE Services and our client.

The contract was initiated in the early stages of the pandemic and as the lead contractor, RGE Services was responsible for planning and managing works and ensuring adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
