Covid regulations specified that essential works could go ahead but engineers needed to wear full PPE. Additionally, we introduced daily health and temperature checks.

A key challenge was encouraging residents to provide us with access to their home, so the alarm system upgrade could take place. On agreement with Lewisham Homes, we incentivised residents to provide access by offering them free multi-point upgrades to USB plug sockets.

They would receive USB sockets if RGE Services gained access to their home on first try. We achieved an 85% First Time Appointment Access score.

A team of 14 engineers completed the works, with support from our central service desk and management team. Final checking prior to handover to Lewisham Homes was carried out by a FIA design qualified contract manager, with oversight from our fire operations director.
