Employee benefits
- Standard holiday allowance is 23 days per year and employees can secure one extra day of holiday per full year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days
- Employees have the option to sell three days back to the company per year
- A maximum of three days can alternatively be carried into the following year, if they’re not used
- Employees are paid for the eight bank holidays per year, or more if the government creates them
- If Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on a weekday, employees are not required to work past midday, but will be paid a full day
- All employees are auto enrolled into the government pension scheme
- Vehicles and a fuel card are provided to those who require them
- A company phone and/or tablet device is provided to those who require them
- All plant is supplied, for example drills, steps, ladders, heavy duty power tools, for the completion of engineering duties
- Evening and Saturday working hours are paid at time-and-a-half rate
- Night-time, Sunday and bank holiday working hours are paid at double rate
- Weekend working is available for employees who prefer this option
- Flexible working approaches are discussed and entered into upon agreement
- Rotas are used for out-of-hours call outs
Training, development and wellbeing
- RGE Services is a member of NIC EIC, ECA and FIA and provides regular in-house and external training, both on-and off-site, to maintain and progress professional skills, knowledge and standards
- E-learning platforms are available to enable our employees to complete courses and learn in a location and at a time that suits them
- Development reviews highlight learning and progression opportunities
- An anonymous external support line is available to RGE Services employees who would like to discuss any wellbeing issues.
